Communal Heating System
Substantially reducing primary energy was one of the headline innovation targets for GMV. The system, which includes gas fired Combined Heat & Power engines and boilers, provides central heating, hot water and electricity, which is either consumed within the Village (to power communal areas) or sold back to the national grid.

Water Consumption
By using water saving devices such as water efficient taps, showers, toilets, dishwashers and washing machines, GMV has significantly reduced the water consumption of its homes.
