Greenwich Millennium
Village, the first of the Government’s Millennium Communities,
lies at the southern end of the 300 acre Greenwich Peninsula, part
of the remarkable Thames Gateway regeneration project. The project
is an ambitious mixed-use development, where innovation and efficiency
are fundamental.
GMV covers 72 acres of the Peninsula, and is grouped into communities
arranged around a village green and newly created lake. Green corridors
connect the Village to the River Thames and the rest of the Greenwich
Peninsula.
GMV will comprise of more than 1300 homes as well as commercial
space. The various architects have selected materials for their green
credentials, and latest technology ensures the construction of an
environmentally sustainable village.
