The Entertainment District wraps around The O₂ and consists of cafés, bars, restaurants, clubs, video lounges and other leisure attractions, all open both day and night. There are also several other entertainment and leisure facilities within The O₂, including an 11 screen cinema complex with a 750 seat Premiere Screen and a 1,800 seat theatre.

The opening of The O₂ has added to the regeneration of the peninsula, which aims to develop 10,000 new homes and a new business district with an estimated working population of 24,000, as well as 150 new shops, cafés and restaurants.
