The priority for the Homes and Communities Agency, formerly known as English Partnerships, is to achieve holistic, long-term regeneration that has an impact far wider than the site itself and combines the achievements of the past with the latest innovative solutions.

For Greenwich Millennium Village a competition was launched by English Partnerships to find a development team to create a residential and mixed-use neighbourhood setting the standard for future sustainable urban regeneration. The winning consortium comprises Countryside Properties and Taylor Wimpey in conjunction with Moat Housing Association.
