The
priority for the Homes and Communities Agency, formerly known as
English Partnerships, is to achieve holistic, long-term regeneration
that has an impact far wider than the site itself and combines the
achievements of the past with the latest innovative solutions.
For Greenwich Millennium
Village a competition was launched by English Partnerships to find
a development team to create a residential and mixed-use neighbourhood
setting the standard for future sustainable urban regeneration. The
winning consortium comprises Countryside Properties and Taylor Wimpey
in conjunction with Moat Housing Association.
Not only is GMV part of the largest regeneration project of its
kind to be undertaken in London, it is a beautiful and practical
place to live. It has everything a community needs to grow – excellent
transport links, a school, a health centre, shops and leisure facilities,
not to mention beautifully designed, eco-friendly homes. |
